Didn't update this for a long time now. Anyways, last night work crowd came for dinner, Mum spent the whole day cooking. It went really well. Dumb Charades was good fun, Alan doing 'average' was the best !

Am writing this from office, just came out of another meeting.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans was a great experience. I have the photos on my laptop, would lash them up on the web asap, censored of course ! Rented out a Toyota Echo (without power steering) form Enterprise and drove down with Alan, Saurabh and Jay. It was a good 9 hr drive, reached at 4:00am, checked into the hotel (Hilton) by the airport and headed down to Bourboun Street. Wasn't surprised to see so many people even at that hour, had a hurricane followed by a few beers in Razoo's. Went on to have biegnets and coffee in Cafe Du Monde.
Saturday night was really good fun, we left the hotel around 4, but, it took us about an hour to reach downtown due to heavy traffic. Parking was a bitch as expected, found a space behind an abandoned vintage car in a really dodgy area, across the road from gay pubs (which I didn't realize until early morning when we came to get the car to drive back). The place was PACKED, chances of a stampede in front of playboy bar - VERY HIGH.
A really good first time experience, don't know if I'd like to go back to the mahyem.
Anyways, am back to the grind and have to finish up this XSL work.

Today's my 2nd day working from home because of bad weather. I did go out y'day to Saurabh's place for dinner, most of the people on the road were desis ! The car was sliding at times, anyways, awesome to experience snow (ok sleet) in Dallas !
Parents got thier US Visa for 6 months, have to sort out the tickets now. India won thier world cup encounter against England today, way to go !

Spoke to parents last night, they had a good interview in the american embassy. Waiting for the passports( with Visa) now.
It's been terribly cold in Dallas, checked weather.com and it said, -6 C, feels like -14 C, "MAJOR WINTER STORM MOVING ACROSS NORTH TEXAS TONIGHT" ! Took me 1.5 hrs to get home from office becuase of the sleet, it's only a 20 mins. drive.

Got up this morning and came across the news that Google has acquired blogger.com. I did hear about this site before but didn't really care to check it out.

Am starting a journal today, hopefully it's not one of my many failed attempts !

Parents applied for the US visa on Friday. Am hoping they get it and spend some time with me here in Dallas.
Am my usual lazy self, have to finsh some office work for tomorrow and do the laundry.
BTW, India won impressively against Namibia. Waiting for big ones against Englad and Pak.
